How we vet our haulers

Every delivery is made by one of our vetted, insured and bonded haulers. Here is what we check, and what we tell you before anything is booked.

Who does what

We take your request, plan the loads and the date, send you one delivered price, book our hauler for you and stay your point of contact until the water is in. Our hauler drives the truck, brings the water and runs the hose.

Insurance and bond, before the first job

Every one of our haulers is vetted, insured and bonded. Before a hauler takes jobs with us, they must show us a current certificate of insurance and a bond. A hauler that can't show both doesn't work with us.

What we check for every request

A person on our team reads every request. For each delivery we check that our hauler:

  • Serves your address. How far the hauler drives from its water source to you is one of the things that sets the price.
  • Has the right truck for the volume. We work out the number of loads from your gallons, so you are not paying for a load you do not need.
  • Can reach your pool or tank. You tell us the hose distance from where a truck can park and whether there is a gate. The hauler confirms the reach for your property before booking.
  • Can make your date. Spring openings and summer weekends book up first, so we ask whether your date is flexible.
  • Fills from a source you know about. Haulers usually fill from a municipal supply. Ask, and we will tell you where the water for your delivery comes from.

The right water for the use

If a cistern or tank supplies drinking or household water, the water must come from a potable source in a tank used for potable water, and many states regulate haulers who deliver it. Tell us the water is for household use and we send a hauler set up for potable water. Pool water deliveries are not drinking water unless your quote specifically says potable.

New plaster and fresh finishes

Pool professionals generally recommend filling a new finish continuously, without stopping. When you tell us it is a new finish, we plan around it: for bigger pools we ask the hauler about back-to-back loads or a second truck so there is no long pause. Your plasterer's start-up instructions come first.

Your property

Water trucks are heavy. Tell us about soft ground, steep or narrow driveways, or weight limits, and we plan for the truck to stay on the street if needed.

What you get before anything is booked

  • One delivered price for the job as you described it: size, number of loads, hose distance, access and date.
  • The water source, if you ask.
  • An honest note if a garden hose makes more sense for your job.

Nothing is booked until you accept a quote. Read our quotes, changes and delivery policies, or see how it works step by step.
