Good fit for a delivered fill
A 24-foot round pool with 4 feet of water holds roughly 13,600 gallons (24 × 24 × 4 × 5.9). That is about two to three tanker loads. Smaller pools may fit in a single load, which is when trucked water tends to be the best value.
- New pool setup. Many manufacturers want the liner smoothed and the first few inches added slowly before the rest goes in. Your hauler can usually go slowly at the start; mention it in your request.
- Homes on a well. Avoid running your well pump for a day straight.
- After a liner change. Get back in the water the same day.
Things to tell us
- Pool diameter (or length and width for an oval) and the water depth. Our gallons calculator does the maths.
- How far it is from where a truck can park to the pool, and whether the hose goes through a gate.
- Whether the pool is brand new, so the hauler knows to start slowly.
A very small pool may be cheaper to fill with a hose. Haulers usually charge per load, so ask yourself whether you are paying for a full truck to deliver a fraction of it. We will tell you honestly if that is the case.
