These are estimates, not offers. They reflect typical market ranges and will be higher or lower depending on where you are. We will always tell you the exact delivered price first.

Work out your loads

Gallons divided by about 6,000 to 8,000 gives your number of loads. A 20,000-gallon pool is usually 3 to 4 loads. Not sure of your gallons? Use the pool gallons calculator.

What moves the price

Number of loads
The biggest factor. Gallons divided by the truck size sets how many trips.
Distance
How far the hauler drives from its water source to you, and back for each extra load.
Hose reach and access
Very long hose runs, steep drives or tight streets can add time or need a different truck.
Water source and type
Local water costs vary. Potable (drinking-quality) water for a cistern can cost more.
Timing
Peak spring weekends and same-day requests can cost more than a flexible weekday.

How to keep the cost down

  • Measure carefully so you do not pay for a load you do not need.
  • Be flexible on the date. Weekdays outside the spring rush are easier to schedule.
  • Clear a short, simple hose route and unlock gates before the truck arrives.
  • On city water with no rush, compare against a hose fill. Our honest comparison shows how.

Pricing questions

Why is it priced per load and not per gallon?

The hauler’s main cost is the trip: driving to the water source, filling, driving to you and unloading. So most price by the load, and a partial load often costs about the same as a full one.

Are there extra fees?

Your quote is the delivered price for the job as described: loads, hose reach and date. If something changes, such as a much longer hose run than described, we tell you before anything happens.

Why is the price different from my neighbor’s?

Pool size, the number of loads, distance from the hauler’s water source, access and timing all change the price. Two homes on the same street can need a different number of loads.
