Quotes, changes and delivery
Last updated October 18, 2026. The short version of how a Pool Water Penguin delivery works. Your written quote has the details for your job, and our terms of use apply.
Quotes and prices
- Prices and ranges on this website are typical estimates for information only. They are not offers.
- Your quote states the delivered price for the job as you described it: what we are filling, size, number of loads, hose distance, access and date.
- Requesting a quote is free. Nothing is booked until you accept a quote. We usually reply within 1-2 business hours.
- A quote is held for 7 days for the ZIP code, job and date it names.
- Pricing is per load. If the pool needs more water than estimated, extra loads are billed at the quoted per-load price, and we ask you before sending one. Loads not yet dispatched when the pool is full are not charged.
- Changed your mind about the number of loads? You can cancel any extra load at no charge, even on the delivery day, as long as you tell us before the truck leaves to fill it.
- If the job turns out materially different on the day, such as a much longer hose run than described, the price may change, and we tell you before any extra work happens.
Payment
- Nothing is charged before delivery. Payment is due once the delivery is complete.
- One invoice per job, covering every load.
- We confirm payment details with your booking and never ask for card numbers on this website.
Changes and cancellations
- Free until 24 hours before. Change the date or cancel at no charge up to 24 hours before your scheduled delivery.
- Inside 24 hours. Cancelling less than 24 hours before delivery costs 20% of the quoted price. Moving to a new date within 30 days instead costs nothing.
- Dry run. If the truck arrives and can't deliver because access or the site differs from what you told us (a locked gate, a hose run much longer than described, no legal place to park), a dry-run fee of 50% of one load applies.
- Weather. If severe weather makes a delivery unsafe, it is rescheduled at no charge.
- If your written quote sets different terms for your job, the quote applies.
Delivery day
- Dates. Delivery dates depend on your area and the season. Spring openings and summer weekends book up first, so tell us your preferred date and whether you are flexible.
- Where the truck goes. The truck usually parks on the street or driveway and runs its hose to the pool or tank. The first 300 feet of hose from where the truck parks are included. Longer runs cost $20 per extra 50 feet, shown in your quote before you book.
- Your part. Clear the hose route, unlock gates, and make sure the truck can park legally and safely.
- New finishes. Tell us if the pool has new plaster or a fresh finish so we can plan a continuous fill, and follow your builder's start-up instructions.
- Local rules. Check any water-use or drought restrictions and HOA rules that apply to you.
If we can't make your date
Your quote states the date and arrival window. If we can't make the date you asked for, we tell you before anything is booked, and you decide whether a different date works.
If we miss the delivery date we confirmed, tell us and we reschedule at the earliest slot. If the new date doesn't work for you, you can cancel at no charge.
Your property
Water trucks are heavy. Tell us about soft ground, steep or narrow driveways, or weight limits, and we plan for the truck to stay on the street if needed. Our haulers keep to paved roads and driveways and run the hose from there. If you ask the driver to take the truck onto a lawn or unpaved ground, damage there is your responsibility, unless the hauler was negligent. Give us accurate information about access and any site hazards. If something goes wrong on delivery day, contact us: we are your point of contact until the job is done.
Water quality
Pool water deliveries are not drinking water unless your quote specifically says potable water. If you need drinking-quality water, for example for a household cistern, tell us and we send a hauler set up for potable water. Ask, and we will tell you where your hauler fills up.
After the fill
Pool and spa water chemistry, start-up and equipment after the fill are your responsibility. Our after-the-fill checklist covers the first 48 hours.
