Tell us what the water is for

This is the most important question for a tank. If the cistern supplies drinking or household water, the water must come from a potable source in a tank used for potable water, and many states regulate haulers who deliver it. If it is for livestock, irrigation, dust control or construction, the requirements are different. We match the hauler to the use.

What to tell us

  • Tank capacity and roughly how much it needs (a full fill or a top-up)
  • Where the fill port is and how far it is from where a truck can park
  • Road access: gravel drives, gates, weight limits or tight turns
  • Whether you want regular repeat deliveries

Before a first potable fill, many owners have the tank cleaned and disinfected. Follow your local health department’s guidance for household cisterns.

Cistern and tank fill: questions

Is the water safe to drink?

Only if it is delivered as potable water by a hauler set up for it. Tell us the water is for household use and we only line up haulers who deliver potable water.

Can you set up repeat deliveries?

Yes. Tell us how often the tank runs low and we can arrange a regular schedule with the same hauler where possible.
